Biosolid Dewatering Systems

Biosolid Dewatering Systems

Somat offers a unique low-cost solution for small wastewater treatment facilities. Somat Dewatering Technology is a skid based system which includes all the necessary equipment pre-pipe and wired within the skid platform.  The system features a Somat screw press, polymer activation system, flocculation tank, sludge feed piping with an in-line static mixer, filtrate drain piping and system control panel. Somat Dewatering Systems include a progressing cavity type feed pump that is installed outside the skids parameters, typically in a location where positive pressure is present at the pump inlet. Dewatered sludge cake will typically pass the EPA Paint Filter Test for free water content meeting the acceptance criteria for most landfills. Typical solids capture rates range from 80% to 95%.
